Bitrace CEO Invited to Attend Hong Kong Fintech Week 2024 to Discuss Web3 Compliance Trends
Hong Kong Fintech Week ’24 will be held from October 28 to November 1 at the AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong. As the leading event in Hong Kong, it is organized by the Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau and Invest Hong Kong, in collaboration with the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), and the Insurance Authority (IA).
This year’s theme, “Illuminating New Pathways in Fintech,” is expected to feature over 800 speakers from the banking, securities, investment, insurance, and technology sectors, including global industry leaders and innovators. The event is anticipated to attract more than 35,000 attendees, making it the largest ever.
Bitrace CEO Isabel Shi has been invited to the event, where she will join industry leaders in discussing the latest developments in Web3 and traditional finance (TradFi).
Hong Kong Fintech Week this year has established eight thematic forums on cutting-edge technology and cross-industry connections. The forum topics include the Global Forum, Artificial Intelligence & Frontier Tech, Blockchain & Digital Assets, Payment Tech & Fintech Innovation, InsurTech, Green FinTech & Social Responsibility, Wealth & Investment Tech, and the Hong Kong Dialogue, providing attendees with a comprehensive understanding of the fintech landscape.
Isabel will participate in two panels on the first day of the event (October 28):
Panel 1: InvestHK Fintech 2024 Web3 “Must-know” for Ibanks
Isabel will introduce Bitrace’s latest developments in Web3 compliance, anti-money laundering (AML), and crypto crime analysis, and how the company helps regulatory enforcement agencies better supervise virtual assets.
Panel 2: Convergence or Coexistence? Exploring the Relationship between Native Web3 and TradFi in Hong Kong
Isabel, along with other panelists, will explore potential collaboration opportunities between native Web3 projects and traditional financial institutions in Hong Kong. The discussion will examine the current Web3 regulatory landscape in Hong Kong and explore how Hong Kong can stay at the forefront of global competition in Web3 innovation and adoption.
With her extensive experience in crypto compliance and Web3 applications, Isabel commented, “The future of Web3 and traditional finance is intertwined. Through these discussions, we hope to help global financial institutions better understand the potential and opportunities of Web3 while driving innovation and leadership for Hong Kong in this space.”
Bitrace will also have a booth in the AI & Advanced Tech exhibition area, welcoming attendees for discussions and collaboration.
